What you should know about hiring a contractor

One of of the most important decisions a homeowner who is building or renovating a home will ever make is choosing the right contractor. In todays economy market every contractor is cutting corners or trying to save a buck. Our job is to make sure you get what you pay for and in accordance with your legally executed agreement. Here are a few tips to make sure you do not get hosed on your largest investment you will ever make in your life.

  •  Have your contractor verified ( We can handle that)
  •  Make sure all contracts are signed, dated and clearly describe a completion date. There are 10 specific items all contractors have to put on a contract. If you are not presented with a valid contract you chances of recovery in a fraud case is limited.
  • Verify your contractor is licensed, Insured and has experience in what you are hiring them for (We can handle that as well)

In the end, you are trusting your biggest investment to someone you do not even know. Our specialized verification process can let you know EXACTLY who they are in less than 3 business days. Guaranteed.

How easy can a contractor take advantage of your rights?

Ask yourself these five  simple questions when you previously hired a contractor-

  1. Did you ask for a copy of their contractors license?
  2. Did you ask for a copy of their insurance?
  3. Did you ask for at least 3 qualified references?
  4. Did you verify their good standing with the State Contractors Board?
  5. Did you verify their individual trade license?
